Bangladesh Kyokushin Karate Association (BKKA) successfully organized the National Kyokushin Championship 2025 at the National Sports Council Gymnasium, Dhaka on March 5, 2025.
More than 300 karatekas representing 32 districts participated in the event across various weight categories for both male and female divisions. The championship was inaugurated by the Secretary General of the Bangladesh Olympic Association and was attended by IKO regional representatives.
The event witnessed outstanding performances from athletes across the country, with Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rajshahi divisions dominating the medal tally. Six new national records were broken during the competition.
Chief Instructor Shihan Md. Nurul Islam praised the participants and emphasized the importance of discipline and the Kyokushin spirit. The top performers will be considered for the upcoming IKO World Championship selection camp.
